2019 legislative session begins

Thursday, January 3, 2019

On Jan. 3, lawmakers gathered at the Statehouse for the start of the 2019 legislative session.

This year, the General Assembly will craft a comprehensive plan to fund government services for the next two years as well as continue to prioritize improving Indiana’s education and workforce systems.

Another way to keep in touch with your senator is to complete his or her 2019 legislative survey, which allows Hoosiers to share their thoughts on topics and issues facing Indiana.

Surveys contain questions on a wide variety of topics that might come up during the legislative session as well as a space where constituents can leave comments. Senators keep these responses in mind when voting on legislation.

The link to take the 2019 legislative survey can be found at the top of each senator’s Indiana Senate Republicans webpage.
