Holdman: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"This interim, we reviewed issues affecting Hoosiers across the state," Holdman said. "As we head into this session, I look forward to discussing issues related to the cost of higher education, our workforce and more in order to ensure we are cultivating an environment where all Hoosiers can be successful."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Holdman encourages residents of Senate District 19 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have by email at Senator.Holdman@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
