Zay recognized by American Conservative Union Foundation

STATEHOUSE (July 17, 2020) – The American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF), host of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), recently recognized State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) with its Award for Conservative Excellence based on his votes in the Indiana General Assembly.

Zay was one of two Hoosier legislators to receive this award.

"I am honored to be recognized for holding conservative values at the forefront of my decisions," Zay said. "I will continue to embrace the conservative philosophy, in efforts to make a positive impact on Hoosier lives."

The ACUF reports yearly ratings for state and federal lawmakers, identifying legislators who have voted regularly with the ideals articulated in the U.S. Constitution: limited and transparent government, individual rights, personal responsibility and lasting cultural values.

The ACUF's mission is to educate voters, office-holders and opinion leaders as to why conservative principles work better to solve the myriad of complex and dynamic problems facing Americans today, and equip them to become better and more effective problem-solvers by implementing conservative values within their communities.
