Zay: Huntington County bridge construction projects scheduled

STATEHOUSE (April 2, 2020) – The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced that a bridge deck replacement on S.R. 105 and bridge maintenance over the Wabash River on S.R. 9 in Huntington County are scheduled to begin in early to mid-April and conclude around mid-November, said State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington).

Motorists should expect closures on S.R. 105 at Chapel Road and C.R. W 225 S. However, access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. The official state detour for the closure will be S.R. 124 to S.R. 9 to S.R. 24.

Additionally, there will also be one-lane traffic from C.R. 200 N to U.S. 24 for the duration of the S.R. 9 project.

"These are important projects that will allow the bridges to sustain travel for years to come," Zay said. "Take caution as you drive through and around these projects to ensure worker safety."
