State Sen. Andy Zay to serve on study committee

STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2023) — State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Employment and Labor and the Advisory Board for the Principal Institute in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.

“As the state senator for District 17, ensuring all Hoosiers have access to good jobs is one of the most important things I do," Zay said. "Serving on the employment and labor study committee will allow me to consider ways to attract high-paying jobs to Indiana and make sure our workforce is ready to fill them – fostering our state's future economy."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
