TOMES HONORS BILL OF RIGHTS DAY: State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) speaks at the Evansville Central Library’s Bill of Rights Day celebration. Dec. 15 is the anniversary of the 1791 ratification of the Bill of Rights, which make up the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
“I am honored to have had the opportunity to speak about what Bill of Rights Day means to me,” Tomes said. “The Bill of Rights gives us many of the freedoms we enjoy today, and we owe thanks to our service men and women who continue to courageously fight to protect and defend our liberties.”
