STATEHOUSE (Nov. 25, 2014) — Indiana Senate President Pro Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne) appointed State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) to serve on five standing senate committees for the 119th General Assembly.
Tomes was named to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, the Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology, the Senate Committee on Corrections and Criminal Law, the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and the Senate Committee on Utilities. Tomes was also named chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Corrections.
“Committee meetings give lawmakers the opportunity to discuss legislation more in depth and find ways to improve our state,” Tomes said. “I look forward to serving on these committees and addressing the key issues affecting Hoosiers.”
