Sen. Tomes Congratulates Local Family Farm for 200 Years of Ownership

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 12, 2014) — State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) congratulates a Gibson County family for their designation as a Hoosier Homestead recipient and 200 years of family farm ownership. The Emerson-Bratton Farm, LLC was established in 1811 and received the Bicentennial award last week at the Indiana State Fair. 55 families were honored with the Hoosier Homestead Award, and only two of the 55 families received the Bicentennial award.
