[s18] Sen. Randy Head Praised for 100 Percent Voting Record

STATEHOUSE (Sept. 28, 2012) — Senate President Pro Tempore David Long (R-Fort Wayne) today praised State Sen. Randy Head (R-Logansport) for his outstanding 2012 voting attendance record of 100 percent.

“Senator Head continues to do a terrific job of representing Hoosiers in Senate District 18, and that’s demonstrated through his exemplary voting record,” Long said. “He takes his responsibilities as a state lawmaker seriously.”

Long said Head has a history of voting attendance records that “showcases his dedication,” achieving 100 percent scores since his 2008 election to the Senate.

“This session, 161 Senate bills moved to the Governor’s desk,” Long said. “These pieces of legislation represent the people’s work, including ensuring workplace freedom, eliminating Indiana’s inheritance tax, funding full-day kindergarten and streamlining college credit transferability.”

Long added that Head’s floor votes totaled 371.

State records show that 158 of the 161 bills that went to the Governor for his signature into law were bipartisan in nature. Of these, 91 bills were unanimous.
