State Sen. Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen) made the following statement today congratulating Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation officials, teachers, parents and students for placing among Indiana’s highest-performing schools:
STATEHOUSE (July 12, 2012) – “I am very proud of the students and faculty of Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation for their excellent performance on the ISTEP+ results released by the Department of Education.
“Ensuring all students have the opportunity to receive a quality education remains a top priority for me in the Senate, and it’s encouraging to see high-performing schools like Penn-Harris-Madison recognized for their academic accomplishments.”
Indiana Department of Education officials released Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation’s 2011-2012 ISTEP+ scores during a Statehouse press conference Tuesday, July 10. Results showed the school corporation ranks 9th in Indiana, with an 86.9 percent overall student passing rate on both the Math and English/Language Arts portions of ISTEP+.
