STATEHOUSE (April 11, 2012) – “I’m pleased by Automotive Robotics’ decision to locate a new facility in Tippecanoe County. West Lafayette and surrounding communities will benefit from the jobs this engineering firm is expected to create over the next few years.
“I have no doubt recent economic development policies make Indiana more attractive to outside businesses, especially the state corporate income tax rate reduction the legislature sent to the governor last year.
“Additionally, I know there’s always room for improvement, and we will continue our work to foster more economic development in the future. For me, jobs remain a top priority.”
Automotive Robotics Indiana Labs, Inc., is a branch of Automotive Robotics Proving Labs, Inc., which specializes in electronics, engineering design and manufacturing services. The Illinois-based company announced today it will invest $10 million to build a 50,000 square-foot facility in Purdue Research Park, creating up to 30 new jobs by 2013.
