[7] Hershman Welcomes Local Student Pages to Statehouse

TATEHOUSE (March 16, 2012) – State Sen. Brandt Hershman (R-Buck Creek) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they served as Senate pages:

  • John Michael Beale, son of Delphi residents Mike and Jonella Beale. He is a sixth-grade student at Delphi Middle School.
  • Michael Cook, son of Wheatfield residents Eileen and Richard Cook. He is a sophomore at Kankakee Valley High School.
  • Mitchell Kotterman, son of Lafayette residents Dave and Susan Kotterman. He is a junior at Harrison High School.
  • Carl Landskron, son of Lafayette residents Carl and Michele Landskron. He is a seventh-grade student at East Tipp Middle School.
  • Jake Quasebarth, son of Monon residents Kirk and Sherrie Quasebarth. He is a seventh-grade student at North White Junior/Senior High School.
  • Ryan and Taylor Shriver, children of Reynolds residents Todd and Gail Shriver. They attend North White Junior/Senior High School.
  • Michael Watson, son of Frankfort resident Belissa Watson-Tomlinson. He is a senior at Frankfort Senior High School.
  • John Wright, son of West Lafayette resident Lisa Wright. He is a junior at Harrison High School.

Each legislative session, students in grades six through 12 are invited to serve as legislative pages.

Hershman said the opportunity helps educate young Hoosiers about state government.
