Hershman: Statement on State of the State Address

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 10, 2012) – “Under the guidance of Governor Daniels and the General Assembly, Indiana has enacted historical property tax reform, fostered a pro-job climate with low taxes and limited regulation, and established economic development practices to help us recover from the national recession better and faster than other states,” said State Sen. Brandt Hershman (R-Buck Creek). “But he’s right about the fact that there are still too many unemployed Hoosiers. In his final year as governor, I will be working to achieve many of the same goals he outlined tonight, like lowering our state’s unemployment rate, strengthening our economy and building upon the education reforms enacted last year. I look forward to seeing what can be done for Indiana before the end of his term.”
