STATEHOUSE (Jan. 10, 2012) — State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) made the following statement today, in response to Gov. Mitch Daniels’ 2012 State of the State Address:
“Indiana lawmakers have definitely hit the ground running this short legislative session. There’s a lot to be done and we have until March 14 to meet any goals we’ve set.
“Governor Daniels outlined an ambitious agenda tonight, and it’s going to take thorough discussions and lively debates to voice the opinions of all Hoosiers and ultimately decide what will make Indiana a better place to live, work and raise a family.
“I plan to take these ideas back home to town hall meetings in the upcoming weekends, so I can gather opinions from residents in Southwest Indiana.
“I thank Governor Daniels for his service to our state and look forward to promoting the best interest of all Hoosiers.”
