Area Students Visit Statehouse, Serve as Pages for State Sen. Charbonneau

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 28, 2011) - Area students recently visited the Statehouse and served as legislative pages for State Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso):

  • Allix Smith, a daughter of Roger and Elizabeth Smith and a student at Ben Franklin Middle School;
  • Anne and Joseph Warner, children of Timothy and Karen Warner and students at St. Paul Catholic School;
  • Emily Miller, a daughter of Douglas and Mary Miller and a student at Ben Franklin Middle School;
  • Katelyn Bailey, a daughter of Matt and Rebecca Bailey and a student at St. Peter Lutheran School;
  • Lonnie Pappas, a son of James and Tracey Pappas and a student at Valparaiso High School;
  • Nathan Tuft, a son of Roberta Tuft and a student at Ben Franklin Middle School; and
  • Nathanael Nixon, a son of Margaret Nixon and a student at Riverside Intermediate School;

Charbonneau said during the legislative session, pages spend one day at the Statehouse working with their senator and staff. Students interested in participating in the page program need to be in grades six through 12.
