One of our greatest callings as Americans is to support those who have fought to protect our country’s freedom. As lawmakers, my colleagues and I are in a unique position to improve Hoosier veterans’ lives through our work in the General Assembly. It’s a duty that is both inspiring and humbling and one that I take very seriously.

State Sen. Jim Banks’ (R-Columbia City) legislation to assist disabled Hoosier veterans cleared its final passage in the General Assembly today. Senate Bill 180 now moves to the governor’s desk where it could be signed into law.

Hoosier communities with military bases would receive expanded support under legislation authored by State Sen. Jim Banks (R-Columbia City). Senate Bill 260 cleared its final passage in the Senate today and moves to the governor’s desk where it could be signed into law.
