Brownsburg High School graduate gains experience at Indiana Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 20, 2024) – Christopher Curts is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2024 legislative session, said State Sen. Brian Buchanan (R-Lebanon).

Curts, a resident of Brownsburg, is the son of Charles and Amy Curts. He graduated from Brownsburg High School and from Purdue University with a degree in political science.

"The Senate internship offers college students the chance to learn about the local and state government during session, " Buchanan said. "I am happy to see Christopher getting involved with the legislature."

As a page office intern, Curts introduces students in the Page Program to state senators and facilitates students' experience in the Senate Chamber during session.

"I am so honored to work with the Page Program during the session," Curts said. "I enjoy learning about Indiana politics and urging the younger generation to get involved in their local government."

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by March 14.
