Senate Republicans Release Budget Plan

Thursday, April 9, 2015

Senate Republicans released a state budget plan this morning that continues Indiana’s decade-long record as a national leader in responsible spending.

The budget unveiled by Senate Appropriations Chairman Luke Kenley (R-Noblesville) is balanced with no tax increases, maintains prudent rainy day reserves, and focuses over half of General Fund spending on K-12 education.

Once the Senate passes its budget proposal, the final budget bill will be negotiated by a conference committee of Senators and Representatives before being enacted into law.
