Stay Connected During the Legislative Session

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

There are many ways to voice your opinions and stay connected with what’s going on in the legislature during the upcoming session, which begins Jan. 6.

This month, most constituents will receive a survey newsletter in the mail from their state senator. Take advantage of the opportunity to answer questions based on various proposals expected to come before the General Assembly. Your responses to this survey will help legislators make informed decisions on bills that are discussed and put to a vote.

Up to two people from each household can answer the mailed survey, which can then be sent back to the Statehouse. You can also access the survey online by visiting www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com, then finding your senator’s page. Lawmakers will soon be discussing proposals, so responses should be submitted no later than Jan. 31.

There are a number of other online resources that are great for staying informed during session. By visiting www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com, you can access information on legislative proposals and watch committee hearings and Senate sessions live.

If you want to receive updates by email, you may sign up for your state senator’s e-newsletters. Each week during session, you will receive an e-newsletter providing brief updates on issues being addressed in the legislature.

Additionally, the Indiana Senate Republican Caucus provides legislative updates, photos from the Senate Chamber and important news through our social media accounts. Please feel free to like or follow us at the following social media sites:
