Statement from State Sen. Mark Messmer

State Sen. Mark Messmer (R-Jasper) made the following statement today in response to Gov. Eric Holcomb’s 2024 State of the State address:

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 9, 2024) – "I am pleased to see the governor's plan to emphasize workforce development initiatives in 2024. This year I plan to author and consider legislation to help more Hoosiers succeed professionally.

"I have authored Senate Bill 223, which would establish the Building Indiana's Construction Workforce Task Force to study construction workforce trends in the state, training opportunities for workers and more.

"I look forward to working with other members of the General Assembly this year to better prepare Hoosiers for careers and bring more high-paying jobs to Indiana."
