State Sen. Justin Busch to serve on study committees

STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2023) — State Sen. Justin Busch (R-Fort Wayne) will serve as a member of several study committees in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.

Busch's assignments include:

“Interim study committees help lawmakers further our knowledge on topics that are likely to be impacted by future legislation," Busch said. "The rate of suicide among veterans is a very serious issue, and I'm pleased the public health committee is taking a closer look at that issue this interim. I hope we can identify additional ways to help support the men and women who have defended our country."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
