Sen. Bassler welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 20, 2024) – State Sen. Eric Bassler (R-Washington) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I enjoy seeing our younger generations take an interest in their state government," Bassler said. "The Page Program is excellent way to learn about the legislative process, and I am pleased to have them with us during session."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
