Sen. Walker welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 16, 2024) – State Sen. Greg Walker (R-Columbus) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"It's always nice to welcome students from my district to the Statehouse," Walker said. "Learning about the legislative process is important and the page program allows them to experience this firsthand, along with other unique opportunities not many students get to experience. I look forward to meeting more bright students from our community."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
