Sen. Raatz welcomes local students to the Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb 19, 2024) – State Sen. Jeff Raatz (R-Richmond) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

Elden Frendenberg, from Straughn, attends Tri Junior/Senior High School
Gehrig Frendenberg, from Straughn, attends Tri Junior/Senior High School
Ben Pratt, from New Castle, attends New Castle Middle School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"The Senate Page Program is an excellent way for students to learn more about their local state government," Raatz said. "I encourage all students to participate in this unique opportunity and I know these pages have bright futures ahead of them."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
